This lap quilt is made from a single watercolor-style panel of evergreen pines rising above a waterfall that spills over rocky ledges. The panel is printed to look like a pieced quilt, with chevron strips in teal, green, and brown and dark green borders framing the scene. What makes this piece stand out is the custom free motion longarm quilting. The chevrons and border details are traced in thread, the dark green borders are filled with pebbles, the trees and landscape are outlined, and cloud-like lines drift across the sky. Unlike most of our quilts, which are finished with an edge-to-edge pantograph, every area of this one was quilted to follow the design. Backed with a blue and green watercolor-style print. A striking piece for a cabin, lake house, or any space that celebrates the outdoors.
